At Live Breathe Yoga, accredited and trained teachers offer a variety of classes ranging in ability from the beginner to the advanced.

Flow

Movement Meditation. Breathwork. This class is most suitable for students who have practiced yoga before and are both comfortable and familiar with basic poses. Some of the poses in this class move beyond the basics of yoga to a more intermediate and challenging level.

Yin

This class emphasizes longer holds in poses, aiming for release of the deep tissues in the body. Rather than focussing on striving in poses, the goal of the pose is to allow the body to relax in a very deep way in order to stretch and create space in the body. Most poses are performed seated, kneeling or lying down. On the surface Yin-Inspired Yoga can seem passive, but the response of deep tissues to longer-held poses can be very challenging.

Hatha

Focus on breath and safety as well as alignment principles. This class is good for the beginner to the advanced practitioner as there are variations to deepen your practice. Hatha is generally a slower-paced class with more stretching versus strengthening poses.

Power

Power yoga engages the body in an increased cardiovascular challenge. Linking poses with breath for a dynamic practice with increased intensity, Power Yoga offers students the opportunity to refine the balance between the breath and the body at a more advanced level. Power Yoga is suitable for students who have practiced yoga before, as the pace of the class will be more comfortable for students who are familiar with basic poses.

Yoga Core

focusses on poses meant to increase core strength in the body. Some poses and sequences resemble pilates practice. Often the poses involve use... of the whole body, although core strength is emphasized as a purpose or foundation to the pose. Focussed breathing as well as some repetitive exercises such as abdominal crunches are used to build strength and endurance in the abdomen, back and upper legs. Yoga Core is not structured as a traditional yoga class, but uses similar sequencing and a period of rest and meditation at the end of the class. Yoga Core is often taught to music to allow students a way to count hold time in poses or repetitions of various exercises.
