7:00pm - Chuck Magnus - Chuck Magnus Personal Real Estate Corporation - Surrey BC

Chuck is a long-time resident of the Fraser Valley. Married to wife Laurie since 1978 they have raised three children; 2 daughters and 1 son. Chuck enjoys running, biking, skiing, golf, camping, photography and traveling. Currently working as a  Realtor with Remax and has worked for the last 26 years specializing in an isolated area of Foreclosure Sales which has taken him to many communities all-around B.C. He has a very strong passion to give back to people and community services. Chuck has donated time with the RCMP, taking photos of graduated RCMP auxiliary members. As well, he has volunteered with the Langley School Foundation, Arthritis Society, and Canadian Mental Health Association. Chuck often speaks about Mental Health and he devotes time to family support groups. In particular he likes to raise public awareness on the fight against Childhood Cancer. Chuck is a registrant of the Tri-Conic Challenge - CHALLENGE BIKE RIDE where he hopes to spread the word about his fundraising plans for a cross Canada Bike Trip for Paediatric Cancer in September of 2017. 

7:15pm - Corporal Clive Seabrook - RCMP - Port Alberni

Corporal Seabrook will be in attendance with local RCMP Officer in Charge - Mr. Brian Hunter. Mr. Seabrook will speak about the Drug Issues affecting BC Communities and in particular what is happening in the Alberni Valley. 

7:30pm - Ms. Deanna Beaudoin - Executive Director McLean Mill Society

Deanna Beaudoin was hired by the McLean Mill Society in December 2016 to help lead the organization through a complete remake of the McLean Mill Historical Site and its associated venues/operations such as the Alberni Steam Train and the Train Station itself. Ms. Beaudoin is the founder of M Media, an entertainment media company out of Vancouver BC, Canada. She is  a Youth Pastor, and brings extensive experience to the Society for Event Planning, Marketing, Social Media Presence and more. She is a resident of Port Alberni, a Mom of two and her tag line LBH translates to #lovebeinghere. 

7:50pm - Mr. David Edgar P.Eng. - Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure

Dave Edgar is from the east coast of Canada, receiving his engineering degree from the University of New Brunswick. He has 27 years of experience in transportation engineering. He and his wife Anna moved to Nanaimo in 1997 after spending the previous decade in the Northwest Territories and northern BC. Dave's primary role with the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is in preparing transportation plans across Vancouver Island. Dave will be speaking today about the ongoing plans for Highway #4 and other potential transportation initiatives aimed at improving access to / from Port Alberni and the West Coast of Vancouver Island.
