West Coast Aquatic is the first organization of its kind in Canada. WCA is comprised government, First Nations,key sectors, communities, and others, and was ratified as a collaborative governance body under the Oceans Act in 2002.
WCA seeks produce innovative solutions to coastal concerns, and strengthen the understanding and relationships between parties that share a common interest in the health and wealth of aquatic resources, businesses, and communities.
WCA is comprised of technical secretariat that supports the planning and management activities of the collaborative governance body, as well as a charitable organization that administers stewardship activities.
