ALBERNI VALLEY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE HIRES NEW CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
The Chamber Welcomes Jolleen Dick on April 1, 2023
Port Alberni, BC: Today the Alberni Valley Chamber of Commerce, a membership driven organization focused on continually improving the business climate in the Alberni-Clayoquot region, announced the hiring of new Chief Executive Officer [CEO], Jolleen Dick.
Ms. Dick brings over 15 years of tourism, governmental, and indigenous experience to the Chamber, most recently as the Tourism Development Manager at 4VI (Tourism Vancouver Island), and as an Elected Councilor of the Hupačasath First Nation. She has a considerable and diverse understanding of connecting communities, economic development that supports a vibrant and healthy region, and fostering collaboration between Indigenous and non-Indigenous stakeholders.
“Jolleen is essential to the implementation of our new strategic plan,” said Terry Deakin, President of the Alberni Valley Chamber of Commerce. “I’ve known Jolleen for many years and have been amazed by her professional accomplishments.” Deakin continued, “We are extremely grateful for 10 years of growth and development under outgoing CEO Bill Collette. Jolleen will continue to build on that great work.”

Ms. Dick will assume her new role on April 1, 2023.
