We are pleased to see this PRESS RELEASE quoting our MP - Gord Johns who is the Fisheries Critic in the House of Commons. Mr. Johns has raised this issue countless - yes COUNTLESS times in the House. He has listened to the Sports Fishery Groups including the Island Chambers of Commerce and with his 25 plus years living in Tofino he knows what he's talking about. A Marked Selective Fishery is the logical way to not only enhance fish stocks but ensure a vibrant and healthy tourism industry along with the Sustainability of hundreds of Businesses up and down the Coast of BC including many businesses in our back yard. We must as Gord says - Stand in Solidarity on this matter. After all we are Salmon.
