Tim Johnson and Trevor Henson first met while attending A.W. Neill school in Port Alberni. They soon become fast friends and that friendship continues to this day. After their schooling was complete, both left the Alberni Valley to find work and learn their trade. Before long, Tim returned to the Valley to start Alberni Valley Refrigeration.
Tim along with his brother Max and mother Beth began Alberni Valley Refrigeration in October of 1992 with the aim of providing the valley the top-notch heating and refrigeration service the area richly deserves. The following year, Max decided to move on.
A few short years later, Tim managed to attract a new business partner: Trevor. Together, Tim and Trevor worked hard to instill customer satisfaction and customer dedication as the main focus for Alberni Valley Refrigeration to ensure that we continue to have a strong bond to our customers. Tim and Trevor grew up in this town and wanted to come back to Port Alberni to live and raise their families. Port Alberni has given us that opportunity, and we will continue to support this town, in order to have these same opportunities for our future generations
Over the past 25 years (and counting) Alberni Valley Refrigeration has grown and expanded by concentrating on customer service and maintaining healthy relationships with our customers and suppliers. We now have over 15 employees, with a healthy mix of talented long-term workers and energetic up-and-comers. Our ticketed gas-fitters, ticketed refrigeration technicians, ticketed sheet metal fabricators, and apprentices are ready to install, maintain, and service your heating and cooling equipment.
