Join us on Wednesday April 23, at McLean Mill National Historic Site to hear from MLA and Minister of Health, the Honorable Josie Osborne! This event is sponsored by AV Financial.
We are honored to welcome the Honorable Josie Osborne as our guest speaker. Josie has been a dedicated public servant with deep roots on Vancouver Island. She moved to Tofino over two decades ago to work as a fisheries biologist for the Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council and later served as the executive director of an environmental education non-profit organization.
Her commitment to community led her to serve as the Mayor of Tofino for nearly eight years, where she championed projects such as the development of Tofino’s wastewater treatment plant, the creation of affordable rental homes, and the establishment of regional transit services.
In 2020, Josie was elected as the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Mid Island-Pacific Rim. She has held several ministerial positions, including Minister of Municipal Affairs, Minister of Land, Water and Resource Stewardship, and Minister of Energy, Mines and Low Carbon Innovation. As of November 2024, she serves as the Minister of Health for British Columbia.
Don't miss this opportunity to hear from Minister Osborne as she shares insights from her extensive experience in public service and discusses current initiatives impacting our region.
