China Creek Campground and Marina
Have you visited the Campground that is nearer to 10th/Redford than Sproat Lake Provincial? It's also bigger. Much bigger with well over 200 sites most on the water (some fresh, some salt). In well less than 1/2 hour from that corner you can be at China Creek Campground in Marina and away from it all. While there you can enjoy what they've been known for since the 1940's that being fishing of course but today the area is known for much more than that. Girl on a Board returns for this summer where you can learn how to Kite-Board by professional instructors - all of them women. If you're into BMX'ing you can do that there too and there's much more for kids to do there too. The creek itself is beautiful and offers different views all the time with the changing tides. New this year is a concession and if you're into your own business development they are also looking for kayak rentals which would be awesome for the area. The site is the location for the beginning of both phase 2 and 3 of the Alberni Inlet Trail so it's a must visit for you and your guests this summer season. A must visit in advance is their website at: www.campchinacreek.com where you'll get a sense of just how beautiful that part of your own back yard is; you know, the part you've forgotten to look at for the past while.
