Tseshaht First Nation The Teseshaht is one of the First Nations bands that live in the Alberni Valley & the West Coast.
Hupacasath First Nation The Hupacasath is another First Nations band that live in the Alberni Valley & the West Coast.
Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council The Nuu-chah-nulth consists of many First Nation bands which together cover territories stretching approx. 300 kilometres on the West Coast of Vancouver Island.

Uchucklesaht Tribe Government

The Uchucklesaht Tribe has two villages that are situated approximately 24 miles down the Barkley Sound, southwest from Port Alberni. The first village is immediately past the Uchucklesaht Inlet on the West side of Barkley Sound, named "Cowishulth". The second village is located at the head of Uchucklesaht Inlet and is named "Hilthatis".
