AVCOC responds to Comment in Victoria Times Colonist

On Saturday, April 11 the CEO of the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce wrote an editorial that was published in the TC. Within his article he implied that the Greater Victoria region should not be having to pay BC Ferry rates designed to offset rates charged on other less profitable routes. His exact quote was: "Simply put, why do the citizens of Greater Victoria have to pay to keep island communities viable?"

We have responded to that quote as we feel it is a Province wide viewpoint that is ultimately hurting the Rural communities. See attached.
