Better Buy Port Alberni (dot.ca) is an initiative of the Chamber of Commerce which is supported by the City of Port Alberni. We acknowledge the incredible work and effort from WebMax.ca a Web Development company located in Sooke, BC for their support. WebMax ownership are former Port Alberni residents and Business Owners who are currently looking for recreational property in the area.
Here is how BBPA works:
- Businesses participate with a monthly fee payable to the Chamber of Commerce (as of Jan 1/21)
- Businesses signed up on or BEFORE May 31/20 received a full credit for the balance of 2020. In other words they pay nothing until next year
- Businesses can choose to develop a simple Gift Shop site OR if they wish they can create a full ONLINE SHOPPING STORE similar to what one would find with an organization such as SHOPIFY.
- Businesses can link the BBPA site to their own website
- The Chamber and the City are committed to long-term advertising for the program aimed at drawing people to the website.
In order to participate a Business simply has to visit the site and click on the Business portal.
