The Career Centre is located just down the hall from the main office on the main floor at Alberni District Secondary School. Both the Career Centre and Counselling Office are in the same department. Mr. Greg Freethy, Mrs. Terri-Ann Wynans, Mr. Neelam Parmar and Mr. Sukwinder Manhas are the Career Centre staff who work with students in the following areas:
- Apprenticeship Programs - Youth Train in Trades (ACE-IT) and Youth Work in Trades (SSA-Secondary School Apprenticeships)
- Dual Credit Programs with North Island College - Academic and Certificate Programs
- Work Experience (Work Experience 12 A/B which can earn a student 4 or 8 credits)
- Graduation Transitions
- Take Our Kids to Work Program
- Volunteer & Work Experience Opportunities (towards 30 hrs. graduation credit)
- Encounters with Canada Program
- Introduction to the Trades
- Project Based Learning

- Coordinate a variety of extracurricular programs (Food Safe/First Aid)
