Dog Mountain Brewery wins Big! And Twin City takes home twin awards too!

Port Alberni's Craft Breweries are being noticed! This past week at the Canadian Brewing Awards held in Quebec City both Dog Mountain Brewery and Twin City Brewery took home awards. In total the two first Breweries in Port Alberni took home 3 of the awards handed out for Western Canadian Breweries.

  • In the Belgian Style Abbey Ale Category DOG MOUNTAIN BREWERY won GOLD with their simply delicious BEES: Belgian Blonde Ale with Honey (hence the Bees).
  • In the BOCK Traditional German Style TWIN CITY BREWERY won a Bronze with their Dissimulator Beer.
  • In the WHEAT Beer North American Style TWIN CITY BREWERY took home another Bronze with their Swedish Gymnast Beer.

Impression local organizations to say the least. We at the Chamber of Commerce are proud of both of these local Businesses both of whom continue to support the Chamber of Commerce. And yes, we buy from them too!

Nature Impact Inc. - Shelley Anderson

Nature Impact Incorporated

Shelley Anderson is a Forest Therapy Guide who works with individuals of all ages helping them sink into nature and experience an intentional pathway into health, wholeness, and happiness. She is out of Port Alberni, BC. 

 

She believes that the work she does enables her clients to reset the stress button, boost immune function, kick start creativity, and feel so much better!  Not only does spending time in nature significantly benefit those who struggle with anxiety, ADD, ADHD, autism, and any other mental health challenges but it benefits all people of all ages for all time.

 

Shelley currently works with the Ministry of Children and Family development in the province of BC, Canada along with a Provincial School District providing Forest Therapy to numerous families and has had immense success with each of her clients.

 

She is a certified Forest Therapy Guide, an Educational Assistant, has completed her Wilderness First Aide Training, a Master of Religious Studies, a certificate in  Spiritual Formation, and most recently completed her training in the Les Brown Power Voice Program.
